Scope of Position: The External Data Manager is responsible for managing external software systems, including HR and Property Management platforms, that support HR, Finance, MIS, and other departments. This role ensures data accuracy across systems, maintains and supports HRIS functions, manages system integrations, assists with reporting and data analysis, and provides technical support to users. The position also supports onboarding, credentialing, and technology access while collaborating with senior leadership to improve operational efficiency and data management organization-wide.

Essential Position Functions

  • Maintain optimal functions of the HRIS system, which may include installation, customization, development, maintenance, and upgrade to applications systems, and modules.
  • Responsible for maintaining position control information- matching positions and staff between the HRIS system, the finance system, program staff lists, and any other data source.
  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to HRIS users.
  • Program custom functions and operations into the HRIS system.
  • Assist with data reporting needs of senior staff.
  • Help connect HRIS data with other data sources for data analysis and visualizations.
  • Facilitate technology integrations between various software systems: HR, Finance, Property Management, EHRs, Learning Management, Microsoft, and Data Visualization.
  • Manage internal system for new and changing staff for onboarding, credentialing, and technology.
  • Collaborate with senior staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • BA or relevant experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience managing technology systems.
  • Great attention to detail and strong communication skills.
  • Strong team player with an aptitude to continually learn and grow.
