Data Center Technical Documentation Specialist

Serverfarm is looking for a Data Center Technical Content Specialist with hands-on experience in data center operations. The role involves reviewing and creating training content, collaborating with operations and engineering teams, and providing feedback on technical documentation. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a detail-oriented approach.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience as a data center technician in a hyperscale, enterprise, or colocation environment
• Working knowledge of critical infrastructure systems including electrical distribution, mechanical cooling, and associated monitoring and control systems
• Solid understanding of system design and sequence of operations (SOO)
• Familiarity with data center industry best practices for safety, security, availability, and reliability
• Ability to take complex technical information and turn it into clear, usable content for technicians at varying experience levels
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to give direct, constructive feedback on documentation
• Collaborative, pragmatic, and safety-focused mindset
