What You'll Do
General Accounting:
- Maintain the financial books for FullStack’s Colombian entity.
- Prepare and record journal entries on an accrual basis in accordance with Colombian GAAP and IFRS.
- Maintain the general ledger, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and regulations.
- Lead the monthly closing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Perform periodic account reconciliations.
- Manage daily cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity for operations.
- Oversee bank accounts, payments, and cash positioning.
- Execute and monitor local and international payments.
- Manage foreign currency transactions and exposure.
- Prepare short- and long-term cash flow forecasts.
- Support banking relationships and financial institutions.
- Support the Accounting Manager in reporting monthly results to US headquarters.
- Prepare financial reports and analysis for management.
- Provide insights on financial performance and cash position.
- Support compliance with local tax regulations (IVA, withholding tax, ICA, DIAN).
- Assist in tax filings and coordination with external advisors.
- Support internal and external audits, including preparation of required documentation.
- Control Environment & Process Improvement:
- Execute internal controls and support process improvements and automation.
- Implement best practices to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and cash management.

- 5+ years of professional experience in Accounting or related roles, preferably in the software consultancy or IT services industry.
- Advanced English is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation is preferred.
- Deep technical knowledge of Colombian tax regulations, including IVA, Retencion en la Fuente, ICA, Renta, Transfer Pricing, and all DIAN requirements.
- Proven expertise in leading monthly and year-end closes to ensure timely and accurate results.
- Proficiency in NIIF/IFRS standards to maintain international compliance and reporting integrity.
- Skilled in preparing and analyzing financial reporting to drive business insights.
- Hands-on experience managing key accounting functions, specifically overseeing Payroll and Treasury operations.
- Advanced Excel skills for complex data analysis, financial modeling, and process optimization.
- Forensic attention to detail.
- A positive mindset and a can-do attitude.
- Experience working on Agile / Scrum teams.
- Meaningful experience working on large, complex systems.
