The position

FullStack is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant and Treasury to join our team. As the Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring adherence to accounting principles. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with the executive team to optimize financial procedures and play a key role in the overall expansion of the company.

What You'll Do

General Accounting:

  • Maintain the financial books for FullStack’s Colombian entity.
  • Prepare and record journal entries on an accrual basis in accordance with Colombian GAAP and IFRS.
  • Maintain the general ledger, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and regulations.
  • Lead the monthly closing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Perform periodic account reconciliations.

Treasury Management

  • Manage daily cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity for operations.
  • Oversee bank accounts, payments, and cash positioning.
  • Execute and monitor local and international payments.
  • Manage foreign currency transactions and exposure.
  • Prepare short- and long-term cash flow forecasts.
  • Support banking relationships and financial institutions.

Financial Reporting

  • Support the Accounting Manager in reporting monthly results to US headquarters.
  • Prepare financial reports and analysis for management.
  • Provide insights on financial performance and cash position.

Tax Compliance

  • Support compliance with local tax regulations (IVA, withholding tax, ICA, DIAN).
  • Assist in tax filings and coordination with external advisors.

Audit Management

  • Support internal and external audits, including preparation of required documentation.
  • Control Environment & Process Improvement:
  • Execute internal controls and support process improvements and automation.
  • Implement best practices to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and cash management.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of professional experience in Accounting or related roles, preferably in the software consultancy or IT services industry.
  • Advanced English is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation is preferred.
  • Deep technical knowledge of Colombian tax regulations, including IVA, Retencion en la Fuente, ICA, Renta, Transfer Pricing, and all DIAN requirements.
  • Proven expertise in leading monthly and year-end closes to ensure timely and accurate results.
  • Proficiency in NIIF/IFRS standards to maintain international compliance and reporting integrity.
  • Skilled in preparing and analyzing financial reporting to drive business insights.
  • Hands-on experience managing key accounting functions, specifically overseeing Payroll and Treasury operations.
  • Advanced Excel skills for complex data analysis, financial modeling, and process optimization.
  • Forensic attention to detail.
  • A positive mindset and a can-do attitude.
  • Experience working on Agile / Scrum teams.
  • Meaningful experience working on large, complex systems.

  • Ability to consistently work 40 hours per week.
