AIS is seeking a Data Scientist to support the integration, processing, and analysis of diverse data types to improve scientific understanding and operational efficiency across SEFSC survey programs.
Requirements
- Manage and support analysis of multi-source datasets
- Coordinate with project partners
- Maintain familiarity with diverse data types
- Organize and document datasets and metadata
- Perform QA/QC on incoming datasets
- Support data curation and storage
- Develop, test, and evaluate analytical workflows and models
- Support annotation of datasets and development of machine learning models
- Generate data products
- Maintain awareness of SEFSC analytical needs
- Participate in interdisciplinary working groups and collaborative research efforts
- Support proposal development, manuscript review, and scientific reporting activities
- Prepare for and participate in scientific meetings, workshops, and symposia
