Imerys, the world's leading supplier of mineral-based specialty solutions, seeks an experienced Mining Engineer - Geotechnical to provide group-wide guidance and governance on geotechnical engineering across all Imerys mining operations. The role is full-time and can be based in the UK or Europe, with flexibility to suit business needs. Global travel is an integral part of the position, with up to 50% travel and occasional extended site-based assignments.
Requirements
- Mining Engineering degree with geotechnical-related qualifications
- 5+ years' mining experience (ideally 8+), including at least 2 years in site-based roles
- Demonstrated experience in influencing improvements in safety and ground control
- Familiarity with mining and geotechnical software such as Surpac, Deswik, RPM, Whittle, RocScience, FLAC or similar tools
- Strong IT and reporting skills using Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office
- Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly to diverse audiences and across management levels
