Position Overview
The Lead Scaffold Builder is responsible for erecting and dismantling scaffolding in a safe and productive manner while meeting our customer's objectives. To follow the directions of their immediate supervisor and follow all company, jobsite, local, state and federal regulations pertaining to his/her Health and Safety.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
General Duties
- Successfully complete and understand New Hire Orientation.
- Successfully complete and understand all required safety trainings.
- Successfully complete and understand Scaffold Competent Person Training.
- Attend all required safety meetings.
- Report any unsafe acts and conditions immediately to your supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the E&D Foreman or Competent Person
- Assist in the on-the-job training of Carpenters, Carpenter Helpers and Laborers.
- Visually inspect all equipment as it is being erected and/or dismantled.
- Maintain work areas in a neat and orderly fashion at all times.
- Have all the required tools to properly perform their duties.
- Perform material handling duties for the erection and dismantle of the scaffold.
- Proper Assembly and disassembly of the scaffolding.
- Participate and in some cases complete the required E&D documents of the jobsite.
- May serve as the "Competent Person" for the scaffold project.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required
- Four or more years of experience working as a scaffold builder.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50#.
- Must be in a physical condition that will allow walking long distances.
- Must be able to work in any environment (heat, cold, rain)
- Must be able to stand for a long period of time.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, twist, reach and climb.
- Must be well-groomed.
- This position will be based in Ennis, TX. Travel will be required.
