Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to work on the Fleet Ballistic Missile Program (FBM), a 63-year-old Program with a long-standing history of Mission Success and of a strong partnership with our Navy Customer!

Location: This position does not support teleworking; you will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in: Cape Canaveral FL and be expected to work a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full-time.

  • Please note we will not provide relocation services for this position.

What does this role look like?

In this role you will be supporting the Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE). you will utilize you strong software engineering skills to work with all project partners and multiple engineering disciplines to define the future for FBM.

Key Activities You Will Accomplish In This Role

  • This role will support designing, modernizing, and updating test consoles for EGSE.
  • You will collaborate with an enthusiastic team of software, systems, electrical and test engineers using the Agile Development methodology.
  • Coordinate with the product line manager and directorates to support needs.

To Be Effective In This Role, You Will Need

  • Programming experience in one or more of the following: C/C++, LabView, Python, Java, TestStand
  • 3+ years of professional experience for this role.
  • You will need to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.

Desired Skills

  • Experience in simulation software development, software testing and validation, and software configuration management
  • Experience with Telemetry Data Processing (TDP)
  • Experience with multiple OS platforms such as Linux and Windows
  • Experience with Agile and DevOps processes and culture
  • Experience with Jira or other Atlassian tool sets
  • Must be able to work autonomously and drive items to closure
  • Possess strong communication, social, and problem resolution skills
