Employee Relations & Investigations
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations matters; provide guidance on policies, procedures, and workplace concerns.
- Conduct timely, impartial, and well-documented investigations related to employee complaints, misconduct, and policy violations.
- Facilitate conflict resolution and corrective action processes in alignment with company policy and applicable laws.
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for hourly and salaried positions, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and hiring coordination.
- Ensure pre-employment processes are completed accurately (background checks, drug screens, and employment eligibility verification).
- Coordinate and deliver new-hire orientation and onboarding; prepare and maintain employee files.
- Administer benefit programs and serve as a resource to employees regarding enrollment, changes, and general inquiries.
- Coordinate with vendors and corporate HR to resolve benefit issues and ensure accurate processing.
- Coordinate HR and compliance training (e.g., orientation, policy training, harassment prevention).
- Track training completion and maintain accurate records.
- Maintain accurate HRIS and personnel records; prepare HR correspondence and reports as required.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Support audits and reporting efforts as needed.
- Partner with site leadership to support workforce planning, attendance management, and performance processes.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and plant events as appropriate.
- Perform other HR-related duties consistent with the role.
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (spoken and written) ' Required
- Minimum of 2'5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Demonstrated experience in employee relations, recruiting/hiring, benefits administration, and employee investigations.
- Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS platforms.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification.
- Experience supporting hourly manufacturing workforces.
- Experience with Paychex
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional judgment and the ability to influence without authority.
- Primarily an office environment with regular presence on the manufacturing floor.
- Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer.
- Occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds.
- Ability to move throughout the facility as required.
- Day shift: 8:00 AM ' 5:00 PM
- Flexibility required to support business needs, including occasional after-hours responsibilities.
