Senior Full-Stack Developer (W2 Only)

Location: DMV Area (DC, Maryland, Virginia) – Local Candidates Only

Employment Type: W2 Contract Only

Compensation: $65–$75/hour on W2

Work Authorization: Candidates must be authorized to work on a W2 without third-party sponsorship or C2C arrangements.

Our client is building a next-generation enterprise platform focused on scalability, security, and modern cloud-native architecture. The engineering team follows SDLC 2.0 principles, where developers own quality end-to-end with no separate QA organization. This is an opportunity to work on high-impact applications using modern technologies including Angular, Micro Frontend Architecture, TypeScript, AWS cloud services, and advanced test automation frameworks.


Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full-Stack Developer to design, develop, test, and deploy scalable software solutions for a cutting-edge enterprise platform. The ideal candidate will have strong experience across frontend and backend development, cloud-native technologies, automation testing, and CI/CD practices.

This role requires someone who thrives in fast-paced Agile environments, takes ownership of software quality, and enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams.


Key Responsibilities

Full-Stack Development

  • Develop modern frontend applications using Angular and Micro Frontend Architecture.
  • Build and maintain backend services using TypeScript and API Gateway integrations.
  • Design scalable and maintainable enterprise-grade software solutions.

Cloud-Native Engineering

  • Develop and deploy applications leveraging AWS services including:
  • S3
  • CloudFront
  • SNS
  • SQS
  • DynamoDB
  • Build highly available and distributed cloud-native components.

Quality Ownership & Test Automation

  • Own software quality from development through production deployment.
  • Create and maintain automated testing frameworks using Selenium and Playwright.
  • Implement unit, integration, and end-to-end testing strategies.
  • Follow Test-Driven Development (TDD) best practices.
  • Troubleshoot, resolve, and prevent production defects.

DevOps & CI/CD

  • Contribute to CI/CD modernization initiatives, including Jenkins to GitLab migration.
  • Integrate automated testing into deployment pipelines.
  • Work with Docker containerization and deployment automation.

Database & NoSQL Development

  • Design and optimize NoSQL data models using DynamoDB.
  • Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability of distributed applications.

Collaboration & Agile Delivery

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Conduct peer code reviews and mentor team members when needed.
  • Advocate for engineering best practices and continuous improvement.

Security & Compliance

  • Implement secure coding standards and best practices.
  • Handle sensitive and regulated data, including PII, in compliance-driven environments.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of professional full-stack development experience.
  • Strong expertise in:
  • Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
  • TypeScript
  • Angular
  • Modern JavaScript frameworks
  • NoSQL databases, especially DynamoDB
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium and Playwright test automation.
  • Experience building enterprise applications in Agile environments.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and build automation.
  • Experience working with AWS cloud services.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proven ability to independently own development and testing responsibilities.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Micro Frontend Architecture.
  • Experience with API Gateway implementations.
  • Experience with AWS messaging services such as SNS and SQS.
  • Experience migrating CI/CD pipelines from Jenkins to GitLab.
  • Knowledge of Docker and containerized deployments.
  • Hands-on experience with TDD and/or BDD methodologies.
  • Previous experience in regulated industries such as finance or healthcare.
