A leading promotional branding company in Bergen County is seeking an eager, organized, and dynamic individual to join their team as a Logistics Assistant / Project Development Associate. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate looking to jumpstart their career in Marketing, Logistics, and Product Development. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple projects at once, and is excited to learn and grow within the promotional products industry.


Key Responsibilities

Project & Sales Support

  • Work directly with Sales to generate and cultivate new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with sales reps to create custom product ideas that meet client budgets and branding needs.
  • Partner with in-house Art/Design teams to develop artwork and bring client concepts to life.

Domestic & International Production

Domestic Production

  • Communicate daily with domestic production facilities via phone and email to obtain real-time quotes.
  • Build production timelines and ensure artwork meets all factory specifications.
  • Meet with domestic suppliers to discuss product options and innovation.

International Production / China Team

  • Work closely with China-based staff on raw materials, product development, and custom manufacturing.
  • Develop unique, custom products tailored to end-user needs.
  • Communicate regularly through email and WeChat.
  • Prepare accurate Landed Duty Paid quotes using correct HTS codes and tariffs (knowledge required).
  • Collaborate with Logistics on shipping methods including Ocean, Air Cargo, DHL, FedEx, and UPS.

Presentations

  • Create polished PowerPoint proposal decks using input from design, domestic partners, and international factories.


Day-to-Day Expectations

  • Manage multiple active product lists and timelines simultaneously.
  • Support fast-paced, event-driven projects with quick turnaround requirements.
  • Communicate effectively regarding design, quotes, production status, and logistics.
  • Continuously expand your knowledge of product variations, materials, and industry trends.
  • Apply creativity to tailor solutions for each client’s business model.


Ideal Candidate

  • Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Comfortable multitasking under tight deadlines.
  • Creative problem solver with an interest in Marketing, Logistics, and Product Development.
  • Prior exposure to international production or logistics is a plus (not required).
  • Familiarity with HTS codes and tariffs is a strong advantage.
