Application Engineer

Job Title: Graduate Applications Engineer

Salary: £28,000-£32,000

Location: Chester

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and application guidance to customers and internal teams
• Assist customers in identifying suitable engineering products and solutions
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues
• Prepare technical documentation, quotations, reports, and application data
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and sales departments
• Participate in customer meetings, product demonstrations, and technical presentations
• Support testing, validation, and continuous improvement activities
• Maintain accurate customer and project records
• Develop strong product and industry knowledge

Essential

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar engineering discipline
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Good analytical and problem-solving ability
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
• Competent with Microsoft Office applications
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Desirable

• Placement year, internship, or industry project experience
• Exposure to manufacturing, automation, or industrial engineering environments
• Experience using SolidWorks, CAD or engineering software packages
• Customer-facing or technical support experience
