Korro AI is working on shaping the future of children’s healthcare. Our mission is to offer comprehensive health, behavioral care, and well‑being services easily accessible to every child. We leverage AI and computer vision technology to provide in‑depth analysis and to support integrated and personalized services. We supplement in‑person clinical care by offering health care providers a platform designed to monitor progress in‑ and outside their clinic.
The Engineering group of Korro AI is developing the underlying engine, general infrastructure and platform as well as the customer facing products and experiences. We are using latest AI and Computer Vision methodologies and a broad spectrum of modern technologies to provide our customers reliable, secure and cutting‑edge products.
When joining our R&D organization you will define and drive the architecture of the Korro platform and shape the technology roadmap for our next-generation child development platform. You will improve existing systems, build an agentic engineering infrastructure and respective practices, and design the operating system for child development of the future leveraging cutting-edge Computer Vision and AI. The role spans large-scale end-user platforms, mobile applications and embedded web applications. The position is in Darmstadt, Germany, reporting to the CEngO Chief Engineering Officer. Work mode is hybrid with 3+ office days per week.
Must have skills
- 8+ years of experience in software architecture or senior engineering leadership, including ownership of large-scale end-user platforms.
- Proven experience designing and building cloud-based platforms
- Proven experience with building Unity mobile applications
- Strong experience defining scalable, secure architectures and improving systems in production.
- Experience with agentic coding, AI-assisted engineering workflows, and AI-enabled product development.
- Experience influencing technology roadmaps across product, engineering, QA and AI/data teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English; experience working with distributed, international teams.
Nice to have skills
- Hands-on development experience with Python, C# / Unity, Kotlin or modern web technologies.
- Experience with Computer Vision, ML platforms, and internal engineering tooling.
- Experience in healthcare or other regulated domains, and with cloud-native platforms, DevOps and observability.
