Job Description
Designs and implements a treatment plan of care utilizing practice standards and recommended techniques and modalities, insurance guidelines, and patient’s needs. Assesses patient's ability to safely and effectively perform functional mobilty skills, an evaluates muscle, nerve, joint, and integumentary systems. Monitors patient response to and progress in treatment, modifying treatment plan as appropriate. Provides discharge planning assistance and information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and follow-up services. Communicates appropriately and effectively with patients, family, and healthcare professionals within and across care settings and communities. Oversees care provided by certified physical therapy assistants and therapy technicians according to established regulations and practice standards. Educates patients, family members, and caregivers on identifying needs. Documents accurately, completely, and timely using measurable and objective terminology following standards of practice, insurance guidelines and department/hospital policy and procedures. Charges patient accurately and timely, according to guidelines of the CPT code format and following insurance guidelines Identifies the need for patient/caregiver education and utilizes each opportunity for teaching on a planned or spontaneous basis, including discharge recommendations Practices principles of professional development by maintaining clinical competencies, using best and/or evidence-based practices, and serving as a clinical instructor Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]
- Entry level competency of physical therapy practice, theory, principles, and applications as defined in competency/department policies [Required]
- Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English [Required]

- Education requirements for this position are determined by the licensing or certification standards set forth by the relevant certifying body. Applicants must possess the level of education mandated for eligibility to obtain and maintain the required license or certification.

Pay Range
$31.55 - $58.69
