Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Procurement Specialist to support our rapidly evolving Supply Chain team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, startup environment and is excited to help build and scale procurement processes from the ground up.
You will play a critical role in sourcing, supplier management, and ensuring the health and performance of our supply base. This position requires strong organizational skills, cross-functional collaboration, and a continuous improvement mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead sourcing activities including issuing and managing RFQs, RFPs, and RFIs to suppliers
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to support long-term partnerships
- Monitor and drive supplier performance, including on-time delivery and quality metrics
- Track and maintain status across multiple parts and suppliers, ensuring clear visibility of risks and timelines
- Develop and maintain a structured supplier list within assigned commodity areas
- Communicate supply chain status, risks, and updates effectively to internal stakeholders
- Support the development, documentation, and continuous improvement of procurement and supply chain processes
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate workflows as the company scales
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and program teams
- Develop and maintain procurement categories assigned to you, ensuring a robust supply base and adequate capacity.
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain roles
- Experience issuing RFQs/RFPs and negotiating with suppliers
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Familiarity with supplier performance metrics (OTD, quality, lead time adherance)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment
- Experience in manufacturing, hardware, or high-tech environments
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience using procurement platforms (e.g., Procurify, Coupa, SAP) and project/work management tools (e.g., Jira) to manage sourcing workflows and supplier activities
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Exposure to early-stage or scaling companies
- Continuous improvement or process development experience
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify inefficiencies and propose solutions
