Job Summary
The Senior Project Manager provides executive-level leadership and oversight for large-scale, mission-critical programs supporting Government and DoD objectives. This role is responsible for directing complex multi-year initiatives, managing program execution, and ensuring alignment with organizational priorities, operational goals, and stakeholder expectations. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience leading complex programs within federal or defense environments, strong strategic planning capabilities, and the ability to manage technical, financial, and operational performance across multiple projects and teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale programs and project portfolios
- Establish program objectives, priorities, and long-range strategic plans aligned with mission requirements
- Oversee program schedules, technical milestones, budgets, and cost performance metrics
- Direct program execution activities to ensure successful delivery within scope, schedule, and budget constraints
- Coordinate with Government leadership, stakeholders, and technical teams to support program objectives
- Develop and manage program strategies, resource planning, and operational priorities
- Monitor program performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
- Provide executive-level status updates, briefings, and recommendations to senior leadership
- Support requirements definition, technical planning, and program integration activities
- Manage high-impact issues and ensure timely resolution of program challenges
- Coordinate funding, staffing, and infrastructure requirements necessary for program success
- Oversee subordinate project managers, program leads, and support personnel
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, organizational policies, and management standards
- Promote effective communication, collaboration, and accountability across program teams
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 15 years of experience managing large-scale programs or projects within Government or DoD environments
- Demonstrated supervisory and leadership experience
- Experience supporting and communicating with SES and Flag-level personnel
- Proven ability to manage complex contracts efficiently and cost-effectively
- Experience overseeing program schedules, budgets, staffing, and performance management activities
- Background supporting enterprise-level initiatives, systems development efforts, or advanced technology programs
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and coordinating multiple project activities simultaneously
- Program and project management expertise

- Strong decision-making and operational oversight abilities
- Executive-level written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in high-visibility environments

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required
- Active Secret security clearance with the ability to maintain eligibility throughout employment required
