In this pivotal role, you’ll analyse business needs, elicit and document requirements, and partner with stakeholders to design fit-for-purpose improvements across processes and corporate systems. What This Role Looks Like

  • Proactively engage with stakeholders across the business to capture requirements, shape project objectives, lead process mapping activities, and champion the adoption of the One Council solution.
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, managing expectations, resolving issues and ensuring transparent communication throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Development, maintenance, and optimisation of Business Process Automation (BPA) and Reporting and Analytics solutions, including issue resolution, performance enhancement and system improvements
  • Perform gap analysis between current and desired future state processes, identifying impacts, risks and dependencies, and recommending practical, value focused solutions.
  • Translate business requirements into clear, structured artefacts that can be understood by technical teams, acting as the key interface between the business and corporate system.
  • Drive the innovation, introduction, integration, and configuration of system solutions that align with organisational objectives and evolving business needs
  • Provide expert process advice and guidance, prepare and execute test scripts, coordinate and undertake User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with subject matter experts, and collaborate with SMEs to identify and resolve system and process issues.

What Are We Seeking From Our Business Analyst

  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Bachelor Degree in Business, IT, Finance or related field
  • Demonstrated experience in complex projects and collaboration among stakeholders, with solid negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong understanding of business processes across various departments within local government
  • Customer focused with excellent communication, problem-solving and report writing skills with Visio knowledge.
  • Knowledge of data analytics for business process interpretation and modelling of user story maps, case diagrams and process flows using Visio or equivalent tools to clearly document and communicate requirements
