We are looking for an experienced HR Director to support a long-term contract opportunity in Hamden, Connecticut. This role will lead core human resources operations with a strong focus on employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and day-to-day HR leadership. The ideal candidate brings a practical approach to policy guidance, workforce support, and HR systems oversight while helping maintain a well-organized and compliant HR function.

Responsibilities:
• Lead daily human resources activities, providing direction across employee relations, policy interpretation, and HR administration.
• Oversee benefits programs, including open enrollment planning, employee communications, and coordination with vendors or internal stakeholders.
• Manage compensation and benefits processes to help ensure accurate administration and alignment with organizational practices.
• Support HR compliance efforts by maintaining records, monitoring employment practices, and helping uphold applicable policies and regulations.
• Serve as a key resource for workplace concerns, conducting reviews and guiding resolution of employee matters in a fair and consistent manner.
• Maintain and optimize HRIS and human resources management systems, including ADP Enterprise and related HR software tools.
• Prepare HR reports, track personnel data, and ensure documentation is current, organized, and accessible for business needs.
• Partner with leadership on human resources planning, process improvements, and operational priorities across the employee lifecycle.
• 3+ years of experience in human resources leadership or a comparable HR management role.
• Demonstrated background in employee relations, benefits administration, and HR operations.
• Knowledge of compensation and benefits practices, including open enrollment support.
• Working experience with HR compliance requirements and HR recordkeeping standards.
• Proficiency with ADP Enterprise, HRIS platforms, and human resources management systems.
• Ability to manage sensitive matters with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to support multiple HR priorities effectively.
