We’re looking for an experienced Client Finance lead with experience of high profile and value clients to partner with this game changing, marketing services group challenging the status quo.

As VP of Client Finance, you will lead and continue evolving the Client Finance organization across the NAMER region. Reporting to the NAMER CFO, this role serves as the senior finance partner to the business, overseeing financial management across a large and complex portfolio of client accounts while driving operational excellence, consistency, and best practices across the Client Finance function.


This role requires a seasoned agency finance leader with deep expertise in marketing services financial operations, large-scale account management, and utilization-driven business models. The ideal candidate combines strong commercial acumen with operational rigor, exceptional partnership capabilities, and a passion for developing high-performing teams.


VP Client Finance – Responsibilities:


Client Finance Leadership

  • Lead the NAMER Client Finance organization across a broad portfolio of client accounts and business units
  • Serve as the senior finance partner to operational and account leadership teams, supporting financial performance management and business decision-making
  • Oversee financial operations across large-scale and complex client engagements, including accounts exceeding $100M in annual revenue
  • Ensure consistent financial management practices across account teams, client pods, and regions

Business Partnership & Financial Management

  • Serve as the primary finance partner to Client Leads and senior business leadership across NAMER, supporting strategic decision-making, account performance management, and operational execution
  • Build trusted relationships with leadership, providing proactive financial guidance and commercial support across client portfolios
  • Partner closely with Client Leads on resource planning, account profitability, staffing strategies, client investment decisions, and operational performance management
  • Lead forecasting, revenue management, margin oversight, and financial performance reviews across the client portfolio
  • Provide guidance and oversight on complex client financial structures, including milestone-based, time-and-materials, and blended commercial models
  • Drive visibility into key operational metrics including utilization, billability, overburn, staffing, and project profitability


Functional Development & Best Practices

  • Lead the continued evolution and professionalization of the Client Finance function
  • Establish and implement scalable best practices, governance standards, and operating procedures across the organization
  • Drive consistency in financial management methodologies, reporting, forecasting, and account support models
  • Partner with FP&A, Commercial Finance, and Controlling to improve cross-functional alignment and operational effectiveness


Team Leadership & Talent Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a large, distributed Client Finance organization through a layer of experienced people managers (a wider team of 30, with 3 direct reports)
  • Build organizational capabilities and elevate overall finance partnership quality across the function
  • Foster a high-performance, collaborative culture focused on accountability, partnership, and continuous improvement
  • Support succession planning, organizational design, and development of future finance leaders


Process, Systems & Transformation

  • Support finance transformation initiatives, including process standardization and systems modernization efforts
  • Partner with Finance Systems and Data teams to improve reporting, data quality, and operational visibility
  • Help drive adoption of scalable tools, reporting frameworks, and financial governance processes across the organization


VP Client Finance – Required Experience:


  • 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience within agency, marketing services, consulting, or other utilization-driven professional services organizations
  • Deep expertise in client finance operations within complex, project-based service environments
  • Demonstrated experience managing large-scale client portfolios and accounts
  • Strong understanding of utilization-driven operating models, including billability, utilization, overburn management, staffing economics, and project-based revenue structures
  • Proven ability to lead large, distributed finance organizations through layers of management
  • Strong business partnership and stakeholder management capabilities across operational and commercial leadership teams
  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with senior operational and account leadership in highly matrixed, fast-paced organizations
  • Demonstrated success implementing process improvements, standardization initiatives, and operational best practices
  • Experience operating within complex, multi-system environments and large matrixed organizations
  • Public company and/or PE-backed company experience preferred
  • Strong analytical, operational, and communication skills
  • CPA and/or MBA is a plus


VP Client Finance - The Package:

  • Salary $200-250,000 + bonus
