Artificial Intelligence Engineer

Christopher Ali has partnered with an early-stage start-up who are using cutting edge AI to radically revolutionise the way data is presented and collected.

They are looking for a Senior AI Engineer to join the team and take them to the next level, improving the accuracy, scalability and reliability.

You’ll architect an AI API that includes agents, multi-agent orchestration and AI-powered tools. You’ll also build AI features that integrate seamlessly with their SDK (think charts and graphs with AI magic on top).

Day to day :

• Build robust AI agents and AI-powered features.
• Architect multi-agent systems where each agent excels at one thing, plus the orchestration between them.
• Solve complex accuracy and reliability challenges through iteration and proper evaling.
• Build backend APIs and services used by our product and external developers.
• Build infrastructure around AI (monitoring, traces, gateways, logging etc).
• Help build secure AI systems.

Skills needed :

• Proven ability to build production AI features that are reliable, scalable and solve real user problems. Not just prototypes.
• Experience designing and shipping complex AI systems (agents, classifiers, chat-like experiences, multi-step workflows).
• Strong product engineering experience with TypeScript/Node.js
• Familiarity with multiple providers and models (Anthropic, OpenAI etc), understanding the tradeoffs and knowing how to evaluate and test them properly.
• Experience building backend APIs (REST and / or MCP) around AI functionality.
• You know how to build scalable AI products and features.
