Operations & Trading Associate

DeRoy & Devereaux is a Michigan based value investment manager founded in 2002 that is 100% employee-owned. D&D manages assets for a diverse client base of both institutional and high net worth investors. Clients served by the Company include institutional investors, foundations, pension plans, Taft Hartley Plans, as well as individuals and families. Portfolios are managed primarily for U.S. clients using equity, fixed income and balanced strategies utilizing appropriate security types.

D&D is looking for an organized, technology savvy and proactive individual to fill the role of Operations & Trading Associate. We are willing to train the right individual.

This is a salaried- not commission based - in office position.

Responsibilities:

· Daily trading of securities including managing the related hardware and software systems

· Daily posting and reconciliation of positions with custodians

· Daily download of custodial files from Advent Custodial Data into Axys

· Trade blotter reviews

· Monitoring daily client cash movement

· DTC confirmation process

· Portfolio accounting procedures, corporate action and reporting protocols

· Communicate with custodians and brokers regarding any discrepancies

· Creation and ongoing maintenance of new accounts, securities, contacts, groups

· Update indices, dividend, yields

· Support Director of Operations, Head Trader, and CCO with specific projects and day to day requests

· Cost Basis accounting reconciliation experience a plus

Qualifications:

· Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written

· Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure on multiple projects concurrently while handling frequent interruptions

· Ability to work independently as well as in teams in a small office environment

· Excellent written and verbal communications skills

· Interest in expanding knowledge

· Advent Software experience (Axys experience preferred) a plus

• A good understanding of securities transactions and reporting a plus
