Core Responsibilities
Billing & Invoicing
- Prepare, review, and issue customer invoices in a high volume environment
- Ensure invoices are accurate, complete, and supported by appropriate documentation
- Resolve billing discrepancies and respond to customer billing inquiries in a timely manner
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue accounts via email and phone
- Work with customers to resolve payment issues and secure timely payment
- Escalate delinquent accounts in accordance with internal credit and collections policies
- Apply customer payments accurately and reconcile customer accounts
- Maintain up‑to‑date customer account records and credit information
- Prepare AR aging reports and other collection‑related reports as required
- Perform month-end reconciliations
- Assist in preparing monthly financial reporting packages and supporting schedules
- Identify discrepancies, investigate variances, and resolve issues proactively
- Oversee accounts payable processing, including credit card reconciliations
- Prepare and file indirect tax remittances (GST/PST)
- Assist with audit preparation and ad hoc financial analysis as required
- Strong foundational understanding of accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, data organization)
- Exposure to accounting systems or ERP software is an asset
- Strong work ethic and demonstrated team collaboration skills
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and propose solutions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple duties
- Responsive, excellent time management skillset
- Highly detail oriented and analytical
- Minimum of 3 years of Accounting or Finance experience.
- Secondary or post secondary education in Accounting is considered an asset.
- Experience in the construction industry is considered an asset.
