Key Responsibilities
Training & Support
- Train and mentor new caregivers in the field
- Demonstrate proper caregiving techniques, including personal care, transfers, and safety protocols
- Reinforce company policies, documentation standards, and best practices
- Provide feedback to the office on caregiver performance and progress
- Fill in for open shifts due to call-offs, vacations, or new client start-ups
- Provide consistent, high-quality care across multiple clients
- Adapt quickly to different care plans, environments, and client needs
- Assist in identifying and referring potential caregiver candidates
- Leverage personal networks and community connections to help bring in qualified caregivers
- Represent the company positively when interacting with potential candidates in the field
- Support occasional recruiting efforts such as job fairs or community outreach
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Assist with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and medication reminders
- Ensure client safety and report any changes in condition
- Minimum 3-5 years of caregiving experience (CNA preferred but not required)
- Strong knowledge of senior care, including dementia and mobility assistance
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within the service area
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends
