About This Job
Trains and assists staff with internet and technology usage and services through professional development programs and in-services or by providing one-on-one consulting and support. Provides senior level instruction and technical consultation to administrators, faculty, and staff on state-of-the-art applications of technology. Develops, implements, and coordinates aspects of the District Technology Plan, departmental technology plans, and the technology plans of individual schools and learning centers.
Note: Contract is for a 212 day work year, which requires the employee to work additional designated days in August and June to meet the responsibilities of the position.

- Instructs and provides technical consulting to administrators, faculty, and staff on state-of-the-art applications of technology; communicates operating procedures, including problem-solving, for the most complex technology
- Works with administrators and faculty to develop, implement, and maintain the school’s technology plan
- Acts as the initial point of contact for staff with technical difficulties
- Plans and conducts workshops designed to teach staff, instructors, and facilitators to use a variety of technologies
- Develops effective working relationships with technical contact persons and the Department of Technology Services (DoTS) to further develop the technological skills of teachers
- Develops and maintains state-of-the-art knowledge of promising new technologies and strategies for which these technologies can be used to enhance instruction
- Maintains both the integrity and confidentiality of all data, research, and analysis, as directed
- Takes initiative to investigate and recommend the piloting of new technologies and writes grants, as required or requested, in support of original recommendations
- Conducts workshops and presentations at schools in order to motivate, inform, and enhance the technological awareness of staff
- Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience minimum
- Computer Science degree preferred
- 5+ years of related experience is required.
- Demonstrated experience instructing, teaching, and communicating state-of-the-art technology
