What You Will Be Doing
- Perform preventive, routine, and emergency maintenance on building systems and equipment both internal and external.
- Troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and safety systems.
- Complete work orders and perform daily shift reports accurately and in a timely manner, documenting all work performed.
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to identify and address maintenance needs.
- Respond promptly to guest and associate requests and emergency situations.
- Support the preventive maintenance program and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
- Follow and adhere to all policies and procedures, including proper uniform attire, key control and OSHA standards and procedures.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition.
- Coordinate with other departments to minimize operational and guest impact.
- Follow all local, state, and federal safety and regulatory requirements.
- Perform all other related duties and special projects as requested.
- 2–5 years of building maintenance or engineering experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Technical school or associate degree preferred.
- Working knowledge of how to troubleshoot, repair and maintain the following:
- HVAC and refrigeration
- Electrical and mechanical systems and equipment
- Plumbing systems and drains
- Building structure, fixtures, and finishes (FF&E)
- Fire alarm, life safety, and commercial kitchen equipment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
- Proficient in the safe use of hand and power tools.
- Basic computer skills, including work order systems and email.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, lift, grasp, twist and stretch.
- Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and safety instructions.
- Professional appearance and customer-service mindset.
- Hotel or resort maintenance experience preferred.
- Must be available to work 2nd shift, weekends and holidays.
