Finance Operations Manager

Citadel Source are delighted to be partnering exclusively with a fast-growing and highly ambitious organisation to recruit a Finance Operations Manager to take ownership of a critical operational finance function. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to join a business experiencing significant growth, where you will play a key role in ensuring operational accuracy, improving processes, and supporting scalable finance operations.

About you

You’re an organised and detail-oriented finance professional with experience across finance operations, billing, reconciliations, payroll support, or transactional finance within a fast-paced environment.

You enjoy improving processes, managing multiple priorities, and building strong working relationships across finance, operations, and commercial teams.

As a Finance Operations Manager, your role will include, but not be limited to:

• Managing key operational finance processes across billing, payments, reconciliations, and financial administration
• Ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions and operational data
• Overseeing invoicing processes and resolving any related queries or discrepancies
• Supporting payroll administration and expense processing alongside outsourced providers
• Managing reconciliations across multiple systems and financial platforms
• Working closely with finance, operations, and compliance teams to ensure smooth day-to-day delivery
• Owning and improving finance operations processes to enhance efficiency, scalability, and controls
• Supporting system improvements, automation projects, and process optimisation initiatives
• Maintaining robust audit trails and ensuring compliance with internal controls and procedures
• Acting as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding finance operations queries
• Supporting reporting, KPI tracking, and operational performance improvements

What the client is looking for

• Previous experience within a Finance Operations, Transactional Finance, Billing, Payroll, or Operational Finance role
• Strong understanding of financial processes, reconciliations, controls, and operational workflows
• Experience managing high-volume workloads in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Confidence managing queries and resolving issues professionally
• Systems experience across finance and operational platforms (ERP or finance systems such as Xero, Dynamics, NetSuite, or similar)
• Good Excel capability
• Experience within a fast-paced commercial or service-led environment would be highly advantageous
