The successful candidate will be a seasoned marketer with a strong CRM or Personalised Marketing knowledge, and broad marketing experience across strategy, acquisition, engagement, and/or product marketing. Candidates will have experience working cross-functionally and driving programs that reach millions of customers, as well as an aptitude for data analysis, and a good understanding of digital marketing channels.
You will have shown that you can work autonomously and be as comfortable handling details as you are thinking big. You will have demonstrable expertise in driving data-driven CRM marketing strategy, as well as end-to-end campaign execution, including writing copy and directing creative assets. You will be comfortable dealing with ambiguity, and will steer the business through testing into new content types, segmentation and business lines. You will have shown you’re able to work in a dynamic environment and can deliver results at pace.
As a key guardian of the Amazon brand, you will work with a wide variety of stakeholders across the business to continually monitor and optimise Outbound performance, ensuring that it reflects and meets the changing needs of our customers and business priorities. You will work with international colleagues to support major launches and product development, and regularly dive deep into data to drive customer-centric and business savvy decision making.
The ideal candidate must be able to think and act strategically, and to flawlessly execute a comprehensive marketing plan that builds awareness and drives site traffic and engagement. You should be innovative, customer obsessed, possess strong skills in data analysis, and have the ability to earn the trust of stakeholders at all levels.
Key job responsibilities
- Manage, improve and innovate personalised marketing programs. Ensure top-line growth while continuing to improve on channel engagement and channel health metrics.
- Formulate Outbound Marketing strategies for Amazon Australia, considering our target customer segments, competitive environment, our program’s strengths, and areas to invest for future innovations.
- Dive deep into engagement and retention performance to identify patterns and trends.
- Articulate plans, experimentation roadmaps and results to leadership.
- Develop strong relationships and work collaboratively with category leadership and central marketing/ tech teams to achieve shared goals.
- Build, execute and scale cross-functional marketing programs from concept to completion, holding a high bar for campaign quality and execution across business units and partner teams.
- Write up proposals, testing roadmaps and campaign reviews for weekly/monthly/quarterly views of progress against targets.
- Develop, implement and train stakeholders on guidelines and principles of Outbound, and audit use of the features.
- Analyse metrics and work with BI to understand campaign performance.
- Work closely with marketing channels and peers in other regions to ensure key launches and partnerships are supported.
- Work with global teams to adapt, localise and implement new features.
- 4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- Experience managing or working within cross-functional marketing and creative teams
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion
- Experience in multi-territory campaign management
- Experience in digital marketing and content production timelines and process
