Commercial Manager (m/w/d) – Precious Metals Refining

The precious metals industry runs on expertise, trust and long-term relationships.

At Mastermelt, we work with leading companies across the pharmaceutical, chemical, electronics and advanced manufacturing sectors, helping them recover and manage valuable precious metals from complex industrial processes.

We are expanding our commercial team in Germany and are looking for someone who already understands this industry.

This role will suit either:

• Commercial professionals already working in the precious metals or catalyst industry, or

• Technical specialists with industry experience who are interested in moving into a more commercial role

The Role

You will work with industrial companies across Germany and Europe to help them recover value from precious metal-bearing materials and optimise their metal supply chains.

Responsibilities include:

· Developing relationships with industrial users of precious metals

· Identifying recycling and recovery opportunities in industrial processes

· Supporting technical discussions around catalyst residues and metal recovery

· Developing long-term customer partnerships across pharma, chemicals, electronics and advanced manufacturing

· Supporting commercial negotiations and opportunity development

· Maintaining visibility of opportunities through CRM and sales planning tools

This is a consultative and relationship-driven role, where both technical credibility and commercial awareness are important.

Who We Are Looking For

We are interested in candidates with experience in areas such as:

• Precious metal catalysts

• Catalyst regeneration or recycling

• Precious metal refining

• Chemical process technology

• Industrial metals trading or metal management

You may currently be working in roles such as:

Commercial roles

· Business Development Manager

· Account Manager

· Sales Manager

· Technical Sales Specialist

or Technical roles

· Process Engineer

· Catalyst Engineer

· Technical Service Engineer

· Process Chemist

· R&D Chemist

Candidates currently in technical roles who wish to develop a stronger commercial career path are particularly welcome.

What You Bring

• Experience working with precious metals, catalysts, or industrial chemical processes

• Strong understanding of industrial markets using PGMs

• Interest in customer development and commercial strategy

• Ability to build trusted relationships with both technical and procurement teams

• Strong communication skills in German and English

Typically candidates will have relevant pgm industry experience.

Location, Package & Next Steps

This role is based in Germany, with a flexible hybrid working model combining remote working with travel to customers and occasional internal meetings.

Candidates must have the right to live and work in Germany, as we are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
