Director, Supply Chain Operations
TerraPower is seeking a Director of Supply Chain Operations to lead the day-to-day execution of TerraPower's global supply chain for the Natrium sodium-cooled fast reactor program.
You'll run the operational side of supply chain, including managing supplier delivery, material flow, logistics, inventory, and performance with a goal to ensuring the Natrium demonstration plant and the future commercial fleet stays on schedule and on budget. This role will report directly to the VP, Commercial Supply Chain.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end supply chain execution for all critical nuclear components, modules, fuel, and balance-of-plant equipment.
- Lead supplier performance management, on-time delivery tracking, and corrective action programs.
- Build and run the logistics, warehousing, and material kitting strategy for modular construction sites.
- Manage supply chain systems, ERP integration, planning, and forecasting for long-lead nuclear items.
- Drive continuous improvement in cost, quality, and delivery across the entire supplier network.
- Partner closely with the Director of Supply Chain Strategy to hand off qualified suppliers into live execution.
- Lead a team responsible for expediting, quality surveillance, and field material support.
- Bachelor's degree (Supply Chain, Business or Engineering) required; advanced degree preferred. Supply chain certification preferred.
- 15+ years in supply chain operations, with at least 5 years in nuclear, aerospace, or other highly regulated industries.
- Strong experience managing complex, long-lead item supply chains for large energy or industrial projects.
- Deep knowledge of nuclear quality standards, ASME NQA-1, and supply chain compliance.
- Proven ability to build, develop and lead high-performing operational teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Motor Abilities: Sitting for extended periods, bending/stooping, grasping/gripping, fine motor control (hands)
- Physical exertion and/or requirements: Minimal, with ability to safely lift up to 25 pounds.
- Repetitive work: Prolonged
- Special Senses: Visual and audio focused work
- Work Conditions: Stairs, typing/keyboard, standard and/or sitting working environment of >8 hours/day
- Travel required 0-10%
Job details
Salary Range:$216,695 - $325,042
- We typically place offers in the lower to middle portion of the range to maintain internal equity and allow room for growth. Any salary offered within the posted salary band is based on market data and commensurate with the selected individual's qualifications experience. This range is specific to Washington State.
