Emtec Building Services is a leading Mechanical and Electrical contractor delivering end-to-end mechanical and electrical solutions across commercial, industrial, and public sector projects. We’re looking for a professional, organised and approachable Office Administrator to join our Emtec Building Services North team in Newcastle. This is a great opportunity to become part of a supportive and experienced team.

This is more than a front-of-house position. You’ll be at the heart of the business, keeping everything running smoothly and supporting teams across the office.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Creating a warm, professional welcome for visitors and callers
  • Providing day-to-day administrative support to engineers, estimators, managers and Directors
  • Assisting with procurement and material orders (Business Central)
  • Managing weekly timesheets, labour records, and invoice queries
  • Maintaining project files, documentation and reports
  • Organising plant registers, training renewals and fleet admin
  • Coordinating meetings, office activities and general admin tasks
  • Supporting site teams with packs and weekly returns
  • Ensuring processes align with ISO9001 standards

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong administration experience, ideally within construction or building services
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Friendly, professional communicator
  • Confident using Microsoft Office (Business Central a bonus)
  • Able to multitask and stay calm in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive, reliable and a strong team player
