- Be able to perform all functions under and active license or certification as it pertains to your assigned duties.
- Know the residents you serve, providing care based on their service plans.
- Assist in all aspects of a resident’s daily life, including activities of daily living, meal service, and social engagement.
- Appropriately communicate with branch clinical leadership when a resident’s needs change.
- Know how to approach and care for residents with dementia.
- Be willing to apply your skills, knowledge, and experience to strive for perfection and achieve excellence!
- Have “caring for others” indelibly etched upon your DNA.
- An active CNA or QMA Certificate
- High School Diploma or GED
- Over 18 years of age or emancipated (some exceptions may apply)
- Willing to complete training or education required by law and Aperion Care policy.
- Flexible and adaptable while handling shifting priorities.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Written and verbal skills for effective communication.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- CPR and First Aid certifications are required within thirty days of hire.
- Required to sit, stand, bend, and walk regularly; lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Visual and auditory ability sufficient for written and verbal communication.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Must be able to perform duties throughout and within scheduled shifts.
