We are growing our surgical team and seeking a compassionate, motivated Charge Nurse to help lead our Ambulatory Surgery Center team.

Position Summary
The Charge Nurse plays a key leadership role within the Ambulatory Surgery Center by helping oversee daily clinical operations while also providing direct patient care throughout the surgical experience.
In partnership with the Director of Nursing and ASC leadership, the Charge Nurse supports staff development, workflow coordination, regulatory readiness, and high-quality patient outcomes. This role is ideal for an RN who enjoys mentoring others, leading by example, and thriving in a fast-paced surgical setting.
In the absence of the Director of Nursing, the Charge Nurse assumes supervisory responsibilities for the ASC clinical team.
What You’ll Do
Leadership & Team Support
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and supervising clinical staff
- Foster a positive, collaborative team culture built on respect and communication
- Support employee engagement, coaching, and performance development
- Assist in evaluating staff performance and implementing corrective action when necessary
- Coordinate staff schedules to ensure patient care needs and operational goals are met
- Support staff education, certifications, and ongoing clinical development
- Help prepare staff and operations for accreditation and regulatory surveys
- Provide direct patient care during pre-operative, operative, and recovery phases
- Collaborate daily with physicians, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary teams
- Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery expectations, and care plans
- Deliver compassionate emotional support to patients and their families
- Ensure compliance with nursing standards, ASC policies, HIPAA regulations, and regulatory requirements
- Promote a safe, clean, and patient-centered environment
- Adhere to infection prevention protocols, medication safety standards, and controlled substance regulations
BSN degree required
Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Indiana
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Surgical Services Or Operating Room Experience Preferred
Strong leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills

Role
This role requires standing for extended periods, lifting/moving patients or equipment, and working in a fast-paced surgical environment. Team members may occasionally be exposed to:
