We at Coforge are looking for Application Support Engineer in Germany.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Application Support Engineer to join our team in Germany. The primary responsibility is to support business‑critical applications, ensure system stability, and collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams.
Knowledge of Appian is a strong advantage, but not mandatory. Candidates without Appian experience but willing to learn are also welcome.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L2/L3 support for enterprise applications, ensuring high system availability.
- Manage incidents, problems, and perform root‑cause analysis.
- Monitor applications, track issues, and ensure timely closure as per SLAs.
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams for issue resolution.
- Support system integrations, API‑based services, and interface applications.
- Prepare documentation, dashboards, and support performance reporting.
- Participate in production deployments and post-release checks.
- Ensure compliance with security, quality, and operational standards.
Technical Skills Required
- Strong experience in Application Support for enterprise environments.
- Solid understanding of SQL, relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL), data modelling, and query optimisation.
- Experience with REST/SOAP Web Services, JSON, XML.
- Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, Rally or similar tools.
- Understanding of authentication/security frameworks: SAML, OAuth.
- Exposure to Agile project environments.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Good-to-Have (Not Mandatory)
- Experience with Appian (19.x, 20.x, 21.x or above).
- Understanding of Appian Records, Sites, UX design, and Appian architecture.
- Experience with Appian plug‑ins or Appian-based integrations.
- Appian L2+ certification (optional).
Soft Skills
- German language proficiency (C1 level) is mandatory.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross‑team collaboration abilities.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly (especially Appian).
