Position Summary
This is a pivotal, high-impact leadership role, with accountability for shaping and delivering a commercially aligned, globally consistent HR agenda.
The VP, HR will serve as the lead HR Business Partner to the global Commercial organization, providing HR leadership across multiple jurisdictions. Additionally, while they will have a primary base in North America, the role holder also leads the Talent Acquisition and HR Operations teams globally, ensuring high-quality, efficient service delivery. Working collaboratively with the OrganOx and Terumo HR teams, they will continue to drive the professionalization, scalability and consistency of HR practices across the company. This role is both strategic and hands-on, suited to an individual who thrives in a scaling environment and is energized by OrganOx's mission.

Major Responsibilities
Under direction from the Chief Human Resources Officer, the VP, HR North America will:
- Partner with senior commercial leaders to shape and execute people strategy aligned to business growth objectives
- Balance pace, risk and compliance in a regulated environment to provide pragmatic, commercially focused counsel on organizational design, capability, performance and culture
- Working across HR, support global expansion, ensuring organizational capability keeps pace with growth
- Act as a credible deputy to the CHRO, stepping into enterprise or company-level matters as required
- Lead the global Talent Acquisition function ensuring balance between geographic and functional priorities to deliver hiring plans aligned to OrganOx's growth and capability needs
- Build scalable, data-driven recruitment processes and infrastructure, balancing day-to-day delivery with optimizing processes, systems, and capabilities that elevate quality of hire, candidate experience and employer brand globally
- Oversee HR Operations delivery, ensuring efficient, high-quality support across the employee lifecycle, ensuring strong execution of core processes (performance, employee relations, onboarding, etc.)
- Drive consistency in HR policy and practice across jurisdictions, balancing global alignment with local requirements. Partner with HR peers to standardize where it adds value, while maintaining flexibility where needed
- Ensure HR enables Associates to perform at their best, removing friction and improving employee experience; identifying and implementing opportunities for process improvement, automation and efficiency
- Drive a data-oriented approach to HR, using analytics and insight to inform decision-making, with reporting aligned to business priorities. Support leadership with actionable insight on engagement, retention, hiring and organizational health
- Champion a high-performance, purpose-driven culture aligned to OrganOx's mission
- Support leaders in driving engagement, retention and organizational effectiveness, leading OrganOx's work on retention and engagement
- Adhere to the letter and spirit of OrganOx's Code of Conduct and all other company policies
- Proven track record in global HR Leadership and as an HR partner to global commercial organizations
- Demonstrated experience scaling up organizations, rapidly evolving through transitional change
- Strong sense of urgency and accountability; reactive to changing business needs; values quality, accuracy and getting it right but can still move at pace
- Analytical, results-oriented and proactive with strong project management skills
- Effective leadership of remote teams
- Demonstrable track record of building strong, positive, and credible relationships across all levels of the organization and multiple geographies; demonstrating discretion and sensitivity in handling confidential information or conversations
- Proven track record in the creation, development and management of strong, positive relationships with outside vendors and coordination services
- Tech savvy: advanced skills and reporting in Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Demonstrates a strong emphasis on cultural awareness and the appreciation of its impact on engagement, commitment and motivation
- Experience in life sciences, medical technology, or other highly regulated industries
- Track record in scale-up or high-growth environments, alongside experience in a large, listed multinational
- Experience operating across multiple geographies and jurisdictions, specifically US, UK, EMEA
- Strong working knowledge in a broad range of human resources areas, including current HR issues, trends and best practices
- Global experience of working within multi-state organizations and distributed workforces
- Prior experience building and/or leading an HR Shared Services or HR Operations function strongly preferred
- Whilst prior experience leading HR COE's is a plus, role holder does not need to be a TA expert
