On behalf of our client, a rapidly growing, founder-led investment and operating platform, we are seeking a President & Chief Operating Officer to serve as the operational leader across a portfolio of operating companies and strategic partner to the Founder & CEO.
This is the true second seat of the company with genuine management authority over the executive leadership team, direct involvement in evaluating M&A opportunities, and responsibility for driving alignment, accountability, and integration across multiple operating entities.
This is a high-impact opportunity to step into a leadership role within a multi-entity platform spanning real estate, lending, financial services, and operating businesses. The company has experienced significant growth in recent years and is entering its next phase of scale, operational integration, and infrastructure development.
The President & COO will oversee senior leadership across multiple entities, drive execution platform-wide, and help build the systems, processes, and operating cadence necessary to support continued growth.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
• Lead day-to-day operations across multiple business lines and leadership teams
• Drive accountability, operational discipline, and strategic execution
• Oversee finance and back-office functions in partnership with leadership
• Evaluate growth initiatives and M&A opportunities alongside the Founder
• Help scale systems, reporting, dashboards, and organizational infrastructure
• Drive AI and technology adoption across the platform
• Serve as a strategic operating partner to entity leaders and executives
Ideal Background:
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in multi-entity operations, private equity portfolio operations, financial services, real estate, or other high-growth operating environments
• Experience managing senior leaders and cross-functional teams
• Financially literate with the ability to understand consolidated reporting, operational KPIs, and business performance drivers
• Entrepreneurial, high-energy, and comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment
• Experience scaling businesses, driving accountability, and leading through growth and change
• Strong operational instincts with a hands-on leadership style
• AI-forward mindset and comfort leveraging technology to improve operational efficiency
This is not a traditional corporate COO role. The ideal candidate is a sharp, growth-oriented operator who thrives in entrepreneurial environments, enjoys building and scaling organizations, and is energized by execution, leadership, and momentum.
Pittsburgh-based strongly preferred. Remote candidates with travel flexibility will be considered.
