JOB SUMMARY
The General Manager is responsible for providing overall leadership to achieve company revenue, profitability and KPI objectives while creating a customer centric and solutions-oriented culture. This is a key leadership role, responsible for achieving all short-term and mid-term goals, as well as the business objectives of the company.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Full P&L Accountability to develop and communicate a comprehensive Business Plan encompassing all current and future business units (HVAC, Plumbing, Sewer, Electrical) within the company; motivate and fully mobilize the organization to achieve the Business Plan.
- Achieve budgeted objectives, increase revenue, and gross profit through the implementation of operational excellence, metrics and KPI tracking, productivity performance and service/sales system excellence.
- Effectively partner and collaborate with all departments and functions within the organization.
- Organizational Development: work in partnership with the local, regional, and executive leadership team to develop a winning organization through career pathing and training/development.
- Recruit, hire, retain and develop talent to successfully drive a high level of performance, achieving revenue and profitability targets by following the organization’s KPI’s and performance driven business model.
- Drive members of all business units to consistently execute our brand promise of ‘same day’ service delivering an excellent customer service experience at every touch point in the service delivery cycle.
- Participate in the full development of a training and onboarding program to include technical, soft skills, Safety/OSHA, ride-alongs, coaching at the managerial, professional and technician levels.
- Gather necessary information to provide final resolution and support for both internal and external customer needs.
- Participate in business unit and regional review meetings to report on business performance, progress towards key initiatives and best practice sharing.
- Ensure proper management and oversight on all support functions such as call center, dispatching, permitting, warehouse/logistics, fleet management and facilities.
- Partner with Regional Management and the Training team to execute adequate training to ensure a highlight skilled workforce.
- Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (understand and abide by compliance requirements for operations)
- Ensure safety best practices are followed in the field.

- Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of the organization.
- Ability to multitask from high level strategy to hands on tactical operations.
- Excellent business acumen: ability to effectively communicate and carry out the company’s Business plan.
- Strong analytical skills: review, interpret, draw conclusions, and formulate actions based on KPI’s and other branch data.
- Participate in the company's training programs design: training/development, coaching, and onboarding.
- Excellent organizational and follow-through skills; communication skills (oral and written) and process improvement.)
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration and/or minimum 10 years’ related experience.
- 10+ years of experience in business leadership driving P&L accountability, establishing a performance culture, understanding all cross-functional requirements including finance, operations, human resources, marketing, supply and chain, while working to ensure employee development and advancement.
- 5+ years of experience in the trades industry in a managerial role, with a proven track record of P&L accountability, training/development success, sales/operations and customer service.
- Expertise in MS Office Suite including proficient use of Excel and PowerPoint
PREFERRED:
- Experience in the trades: HVAC, plumbing, sewer, electrical
- Experience with Service Titan
