The OPAL Collection is seeking a results-driven Area Sales Manager to support a portfolio of hotels and resorts. In this role, the incumbent will identify, develop, and secure group business within an assigned territory, proactively generating new opportunities, delivering tailored proposals, and converting leads into confirmed bookings that drive regional revenue and support each property’s annual group budget. The position also requires strategic cross-selling of sister properties to maximize overall portfolio performance. Reporting to the Regional Director of Sales, this role collaborates closely with sales, events, revenue, and operations teams to deliver exceptional results.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets across assigned territories.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, and other key partners.
- Identify new business opportunities and market trends to increase market share.
- Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to align sales initiatives with company goals.
- Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
- Track and report sales metrics, forecasting sales performance and adjusting strategies accordingly.
- Represent The Resort at Longboat Key Club at industry events and trade shows.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in hotel sales management..
- Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned region as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field is preferred.

- Experience with key sales software including Salesforce/Delphi, SCS, IVVY, HMS, Fosse, Opera, Duetto/Blockbuster, Sertifi, and CVent.
- Competitive salary range of $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year, paid bi-weekly.
