Fund Accountant

A leading alternative asset manager with approximately $15B in AUM is seeking a Fund Accountant to join its growing team. This role will support the fund accounting and operational functions for hedge funds. The ideal candidate will bring 2–5 years of experience in public accounting, or a combination of public and private accounting experience, preferably with exposure to credit products. Candidates should either hold an active CPA designation or be actively pursuing the certification.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee fund accounting and financial close processes, ensuring accurate reporting and reconciliation
• Collaborate cross-functionally with investment, operations, technology, and client-facing teams on strategic initiatives and business operations
• Support financial reporting, budgeting, audit, and tax functions to maintain strong financial oversight and compliance
• Drive improvements in accounting processes, controls, and operational efficiency through automation and technology initiatives

Qualifications:

• 2 - 5 years of experience in public accounting, or a combination of public and private accounting experience, preferably with exposure to credit products
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA designation or actively pursuing
• Strong communication and time management skills
