The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine—is seeking a BC/BE Gastroenterologist. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced or new grad GI to join an established Clinical Faculty team at UT Health East Texas in Tyler, Texas.Our division features a fellowship program that is ACGME accredited. Candidates should have a strong commitment to patient care, strong teaching and clinical skills. Qualified candidates will receive a faculty appointment to the University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine consistent with their credentials.
Details include:
- Join the Tyler team of (4) GI physicians, and a team of (5) highly skilled APP providers
- Schedule M-F (1) clinic day and (4) OR blocked procedure days
- Call: Inpatient call is one week every 2-3 months
- Outpatient endoscopy 14-procedures a day
- Outpatient clinic 15-patients a day
- Teaching and mentorship of trainees – students, residents, & fellows
- Smart Technology: See more patients without extending your day. Our providers use Epic EMR and Ambience AI scribe technology to automate documentation, reduce administrative burden, improve patient flow, and ensure accurate coding—leading to better work-life balance and revenue.

The University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine is the first medical school in East Texas and the seventh in The University of Texas System.
