Job Description:
The Senior Engagement Manager (EM) is a strategic delivery leader responsible for end-to-end implementation of Conga products across complex client environments. This role blends deep project management expertise with hands-on use of modern AI tools to accelerate delivery velocity, elevate documentation quality, and drive measurable business outcomes for clients.
The ideal candidate is comfortable operating at the intersection of technology, business process, and human-centered change management, and actively champions AI-augmented workflows within their engagement teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Engagement Delivery & Project Management
▸ Own full lifecycle delivery for 2–4 concurrent enterprise SaaS implementations (scoping through go-live and hyper care)
▸ Define and maintain project charters, RACI matrices, risk registers, and implementation roadmaps
▸ Facilitate executive kick-offs, weekly status calls, steering committee reviews, and executive QBRs
▸ Proactively identify scope creep, delivery blockers, and escalation paths; resolve with minimal executive involvement
▸ Manage implementation budgets (typically $200K–$2M) with monthly financial forecasting and actuals tracking
▸ Contribute to services SOW development, Change Orders; ensure delivery evidence aligns with revenue recognition rules and supports accurate monthly invoicing.
▸ Publish RAG (Red–Amber–Green) health cards and executive dashboards at regular cadence, providing transparent delivery status to internal leadership and client stakeholders.
▸ Maintain RAID logs with structured risk scoring and documented contingency plans to proactively manage and mitigate delivery risk throughout the engagement lifecycle.
▸ Support revenue growth by identifying cross-sell and upsell opportunities within active engagements; track capacity vs. pipeline demand to inform resource planning and financial forecasting.
AI-Augmented Requirements Documentation & QA Practices
▸ Use Claude and other AI tools to draft, refine, and validate Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and Functional Specifications
▸ Generate structured user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flow documentation using AI-assisted prompting techniques
▸ Leverage AI to perform gap analysis between client as-is processes and SaaS product capabilities
▸ Drive test strategy definition including UAT planning, test case design, and defect triage processes
▸ Understand the usage of AI tools to generate comprehensive test case libraries from requirements documents
▸ Drives the team to review and approve test scripts; ensure alignment with client acceptance criteria
▸ Analyze test execution data with dashboards to surface coverage gaps and recommend remediation
Stakeholder Management & Change Enablement
▸ Serve as the primary point of escalation and trusted advisor for VP/C-Suite client stakeholders
▸ Assist Conga customer success and client teams to tailor the change management plans including training strategies, communications calendars, and adoption metrics
▸ Use AI-driven call intelligence (Gong or CircleBack etc.) to analyze stakeholder sentiment and refine engagement approach
▸ Build and deliver executive-facing presentations and business case updates with AI-assisted content development
Team Leadership & Mentorship
▸ Lead and mentor cross-functional engagement teams of 3–8 (BAs, solution consultants, configuration engineers, integration engineers)
▸ Coach team members on effective AI tool usage
▸ Conduct regular retrospectives and blameless post-mortems while championing continuous improvement
▸ Contribute to the Professional Services practice by developing repeatable delivery methodologies and playbooks
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
▸ 9+ years of enterprise SaaS implementation or professional services experience
▸ Proven track record managing $500K+ implementations with complex integrations and organizational change
▸ Proficiency in project management tools: Jira, Smartsheet, RocketLane or MS Project
▸ Strong written communication skills — able to produce board-ready documentation and clear technical specs
▸ Experience facilitating requirement workshops, design sessions, and UAT cycles with enterprise clients
▸ Familiarity with SaaS integration patterns (REST APIs, iPaaS platforms such as MuleSoft, Workato, or Boomi)
▸ Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
Preferred
▸ PMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe, or equivalent project management certification
▸ Experience implementing platforms in categories such as: HCM, CRM, ERP, CLM, Pricing Optimization, CPQ or RevOps SaaS
▸ Experience building AI-assisted documentation workflows
▸ Consulting background (Big 4, boutique SI, or SaaS vendor professional services)
▸ MBA or advanced degree
