Indexed description

We are collaborating with one of our key clients on an exciting project to train AI bots used in call centers. The goal is to help these bots understand different intonations, speech cadences, and accents. If you’re a native Swiss French speaker and have a PC with a microphone, this opportunity is perfect for you!

This project will start in May/June (we don’t know the exact timeline yet)

Tasks

What You’ll Do: Record approximately ~300 provided utterances (short phrases) in your native language, with each utterance saved as a separate file.

Why You’re Needed: Your recordings will help train call-centre bots, enabling them to better understand diverse speech patterns. Note: These recordings will not be used for commercial purposes.

Requirements

  • Native speakers of Swiss French (no linguistic or professional voiceover experience needed).
  • A PC with a microphone.
  • Ability to install and use the free recording software Audacity (we provide detailed setup instructions).
  • A quiet environment for clear, noise-free recordings.

Technical Specifications:

  • Format: Single-channel WAV PCM.
  • Frequency: 16 kHz.
  • Silence: 0.5 seconds of silence at the beginning or end of each recording.

To ensure a diverse pool of voices and verify that the recording environment meets the required standards (e.g., no background noise), we will ask shortlisted candidates to submit a short voice sample as part of the application process.
