Marketing Communications Manager

Har Zion Temple is seeking a Marketing & Communications Manager to help bring ideas to life and keep a fast-moving department organized, creative, and on track. This is a hands-on role for someone who loves juggling projects, solving problems, writing clearly, and helping meaningful programs and events get the attention they deserve. The right person will be organized, proactive, flexible, upbeat, and excited to help build strong systems that keep marketing and communications running smoothly across a busy synagogue community. We know strong candidates do not all come from the same background, and we welcome applicants whose experience has prepared them to thrive in a fast-moving, people-centered role.

What this person will do:

• Help manage the day-to-day flow of marketing and communications projects across the synagogue
• Keep events, emails, website updates, and promotional deadlines organized and moving forward
• Follow up with clergy, staff, lay leaders, and volunteers to gather missing details and keep projects on track
• Draft, build, schedule, and proofread email campaigns in Constant Contact
• Update website event pages with accurate information, registration links, images, and messaging
• Help turn rough ideas into finished marketing materials that are clear, appealing, and ready to go
• Help build, improve, and manage the systems, workflows, calendars, and intake processes that keep the department running well
• Serve as a key internal point person for marketing requests and help bring order to a busy creative environment
• Coordinate details across multiple projects at once without losing accuracy, tone, or momentum
• Support social media, community promotion, and public relations efforts as needed

• A strong writer and communicator
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Comfortable managing lots of moving pieces at once
• Confident following up and keeping people accountable in a warm, professional way
• Experienced with email marketing and comfortable learning or using website tools
• Someone who has used strong organizational systems of their own or helped build systems that bring clarity and structure to a busy team
• Calm under pressure, flexible with last-minute changes, and excited to help things get done

Compensation:

Up to $60,000, commensurate with experience.
