Role Snapshot

You own the integrity of the general ledger and financial reporting cycle for a U.S.-based organization, ensuring every reconciliation, accrual, and month-end output meets rigorous U.S. GAAP standards. Your work follows defined accounting cycles and reporting deadlines, providing the technical backbone for the client’s financial decision-making.

This is not a general bookkeeping role. You operate within high-precision environments, managing complex balance sheet reconciliations and variance analyses where accuracy is the primary measure of success. Best suited for accounting professionals who thrive in structured, independent WFH setups and value technical excellence over routine data entry.

You’re Likely a Strong Fit If You Have

• 5+ years of experience in general ledger or senior accounting roles.
• Deep technical mastery of U.S. GAAP and financial statement preparation.
• Hands-on ownership of month-end close processes, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Advanced Excel proficiency (XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and complex formulas) and ERP system experience.
• Willingness to work the night shift (11:00 PM–8:00 AM) and reside within Cebu for WFH compliance.

Strong Signals

• CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification.
• Direct experience supporting U.S.-based companies in a shared services or BPO context.
• Prior exposure to process documentation and internal audit controls.

Responsibility Pillars

Month-End Close & Financial Integrity You own the accuracy of the financial period, ensuring all transactions are captured and reflected according to GAAP.

• Execute month-end and period-end close processes.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries.
• Maintain and document accounting processes and internal controls.

Reconciliation & Technical Analysis You ensure the balance sheet is a true reflection of the business reality through meticulous verification.

• Perform comprehensive balance sheet and account reconciliations.
• Conduct variance analysis to explain financial results and fluctuations.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation.

Reporting & Data Validation You translate raw financial data into reliable reports for stakeholder review.

• Prepare financial statements in compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate financial data accuracy.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase reporting efficiency.
