The Country Director, Japan will lead the market expansion, revenue growth and ecosystem development of RE:AI Cloud in Japan. This role is accountable for establishing a strong market presence, driving enterprise adoption of AI and cloud solutions, and building a scalable, partner-led growth engine that supports Singtel Digital InfraCo’s long-term ambitions in AI infrastructure and digital services.
Core Accountabilities
- Market Strategy & Localisation (Expert): Define and execute Japan-specific market strategy including segmentation, positioning, pricing inputs and route-to-market aligned to global priorities
- Enterprise Sales Leadership (Expert): Build, manage and convert a high-quality enterprise pipeline, leading complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles to achieve revenue outcomes
- Revenue & Pipeline Management (Expert): Drive forecasting accuracy, pipeline health and consistent achievement of quarterly and annual revenue targets
- Go-to-Market Execution (Advanced): Design and implement integrated GTM programs across demand generation, account-based marketing and industry engagement
- Partner Ecosystem Development (Expert): Build and scale strategic partnerships across hyperscalers, system integrators, ISVs and channel partners to drive co-sell opportunities and market reach
- Commercial Negotiation & Deal Structuring (Advanced): Lead commercial negotiations, contracting and deal structuring to deliver sustainable and competitive business outcomes
- Customer & Market Engagement (Advanced): Establish executive-level relationships with enterprise customers and position RE:AI as a trusted AI and cloud partner
- Cross-Functional Leadership (Advanced): Collaborate with product, engineering, legal and operations teams to ensure seamless solution delivery and customer success
- Team Leadership & Capability Building (Advanced): Build and lead a high-performing country team, fostering a results-driven and collaborative culture
- Market Intelligence & Product Feedback (Proficient): Provide insights on Japan market trends, customer needs and regulatory considerations to inform product roadmap and service evolution
Required Qualifications
- Fluent/native-level Japanese and business-level English proficiency (written and spoken), able to operate with Japan customers and global stakeholders.
- Authorization to work in Japan and deep understanding of Japan enterprise buying processes and culture.
- Relevant experience in B2B enterprise technology, including leadership roles in cloud and/or AI businesses.
- Proven track record owning and delivering enterprise sales targets (complex, consultative, multi-stakeholder deals).
- Demonstrated experience building and scaling partner ecosystems (SIs, channel, alliances) and executing co-sell/co-marketing motions.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms, AI solutions, and enterprise architecture concepts (e.g., cloud infrastructure, data platforms, ML model based apps and use cases, local Japan security/compliance considerations).
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing without direct authority, including regional/global HQ collaboration.
- Excellent executive communication skills and ability to engage C-level stakeholders.
