Position: Investment Analyst (Renewable Energy)
Location: Tokyo, Japan
Responsibilities
- Support origination and screening of renewable energy investment opportunities in Japan
- Conduct financial modelling, valuation, due diligence, and investment risk analysis
- Assist in structuring and execution of acquisitions, developments, and project financing transactions
- Support review and coordination of key commercial agreements (PPAs, EPC, O&M, leases, and shareholder agreements)
- Prepare investment papers, approval materials, and presentations for senior management and investment committees
- Develop investor materials (teasers, information memoranda) and support engagement with debt and equity investors
- Coordinate transaction execution through to financial close, including legal documentation and stakeholder management
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or related discipline (MBA/CA preferred)
- 2-5 years of experience in Investment Banking, Private Equity, Infrastructure Funds, Project Finance, or Transaction Advisory
- Strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills
- Exposure to infrastructure, power, utilities, or renewable energy (solar, wind, energy storage) sectors preferred
- Fluent English and Japanese language skills are required
