Business Intelligence Developer

Role Overview:

• The BI Developer will support enterprise reporting and analytics by designing, building, and maintaining data warehousing, data models, and Power BI (Fabric) solutions. This role partners closely with business stakeholders to translate data into actionable insights while ensuring data integrity, performance, and scalability.
• Strong experience with data warehousing, modeling, and Power BI Fabric (minimum 3 years) is required.
• This individual really needs to have an understanding of both the technical rigor of data architecture and the business value of storytelling with data; Someone comfortable owning data quality, reporting accuracy, and stakeholder trust end to end

Key Responsibilities:

Business Intelligence & Data Warehousing:

• Design and maintain data warehouse and BI data models to support enterprise reporting and analytics
• Develop and troubleshoot custom-built data warehousing solutions
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and audits to ensure data accuracy and integrity
• Identify and resolve data quality issues across reporting systems
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and inventory of data systems and data sources

Reporting & Analytics:

• Partner with non-technical business users to gather requirements and deliver Power BI dashboards and reports
• Translate complex data into clear insights, recommendations, and narratives
• Support business analytics initiatives that improve decision-making, efficiency, and performance
• Process and manage data extracts using ETL and data management tools

Technical Collaboration & Operations:

• Communicate regularly with technical, application, and operational teams to ensure database performance, security, and reliability
• Develop and enforce data standards and procedures
• Participate in planning, troubleshooting, and problem resolution efforts
• Mentor and support team members when needed

Required Experience and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• 7+ years of experience in BI development, data analysis, or performance reporting
• 3+ years of experience with Power BI Fabric
• Strong experience with data warehousing and dimensional data modeling
• Advanced MS SQL Server experience, including:
• T‑SQL scripting
• Stored procedures, views, joins, and aggregations
• Database design, normalization, and denormalization
• Hands-on experience with ETL techniques, data extraction, and transformation
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines independently
• Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences
