Position Summary
The Senior Director, Global Head of Solution Development & AI Platforms leads the strategy, design, and delivery of innovative digital workplace solutions powered by advanced AI and platform technologies. This role drives the vision and execution of scalable, user-centric solutions that enhance employee experience, productivity, and enterprise agility across a global organization.
We are looking for a leader to own and scale our global solution development and engineering organization, building the platforms that sit at the core of our Digital Workplace growth. This role leads the development of Service Experience Accelerator (SEA), our flagship AI-led platform that brings together automation, data, knowledge and orchestration to redefine how enterprise services are delivered.
You will lead AI/ML engineering, data platforms, automation, and product development teams to deliver solutions used by global clients at scale, while accelerating new offerings into market.
As a key member of the Digital Workplace leadership team, this role blends product innovation, engineering leadership, AI enablement, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver next-generation workplace capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Vision
- Define and execute the global strategy for Digital Workplace Solution Development and AI Platforms aligned with business and IT priorities
- Establish a forward-looking roadmap for AI-enabled workplace solutions (e.g., copilots, automation, knowledge platforms, digital assistants)
- Identify and incubate emerging technologies to enhance employee experience, productivity, and collaboration
- Partner with CIO, CTO, HR, and business leaders to align technology solutions with workforce transformation goals
Solution Development & Platform Leadership
- Lead global solution architecture, engineering, and development teams responsible for Digital Workplace capabilities
- Oversee design and delivery of scalable platforms including collaboration tools, knowledge management systems, workflow automation, and AI-driven applications
- Ensure robust, secure, and compliant solution delivery aligned with enterprise architecture and governance standards
- Drive adoption of platform-based engineering models and reusable solutions
AI & Innovation
- Champion enterprise AI strategy within the Digital Workplace, including generative AI, machine learning, and intelligent automation
- Lead development and deployment of AI-powered tools such as copilots, chatbots, and predictive analytics solutions
- Establish governance frameworks for responsible AI use, including ethics, data privacy, and model validation
- Drive partnerships with leading technology providers (e.g., Microsoft, Google, ServiceNow) and emerging AI vendors
Global Delivery & Operations
- Lead geographically distributed teams across solution development, product management, and platform engineering
- Drive execution excellence across Agile/DevOps environments with a focus on speed, quality, and scale
- Manage budgets, resource allocation, and vendor ecosystem
- Ensure high availability, performance, and continuous improvement of digital workplace platforms
Stakeholder Engagement
- Engage senior executives and business leaders to shape digital workplace priorities and ensure alignment to enterprise strategy
- Translate complex technical capabilities into business outcomes and value propositions
- Serve as a trusted advisor on AI, automation, and workplace transformation
Talent & Leadership
- Build and lead a high-performing global team of engineers, architects, product managers, and AI specialists
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning
- Attract and retain top talent in AI, platform engineering, and digital solutions
- Develop future leaders and strengthen succession pipelines
Qualifications
Experience
- 15+ years of experience in technology, digital workplace, or platform engineering leadership
- Proven success leading large-scale, global solution development and engineering organizations
- Deep experience in AI/ML, automation, and enterprise platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure AI, ServiceNow)
- Track record of delivering complex, enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives
- Experience operating in global, matrixed organizations
Leadership & Skills
- Strong strategic thinking with ability to execute at scale
- Deep understanding of digital workplace trends, employee experience, and future of work technologies
- Expertise in Agile, DevOps, platform engineering, and product operating models
- Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication skills
- Strong financial acumen and ability to manage large budgets and vendor ecosystems
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required
- Advanced degree (MBA or MS) preferred
