Summary:

Flatter, Inc. (Flatter) is hiring a highly qualified Jr. Analyst to provide administrative support for the Regional Office, Branch Offices, District Office for the Protective Security Officer (PSO) Program as well as support to Contracting Officer’s Representatives (CORs), PSO Operations Officer (PSOO), Technical Security Program Manager and other regional requirements. Work will be performed on-site in Manhattan, NY the FPS locations in Region 2.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to the Branch Chief and Special Agents working throughout the region.
  • Utilize a multitude of investigative and law enforcement systems for data input, review, analysis and retrieval.
  • Prepare and ship law enforcement supplies, such as speed loaders, flashlights, lock picks and evidence materials.
  • Assist with subject, victim and witness checks. Assist with reviewing, editing and quality controlling investigative reports, information bulletins, emails and presentations.
  • Key responsibility includes:

  • Contributing and preparing briefings for business,

  • Operational initiatives,
  • Policy formulation,
  • Professional or strategic goals.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings and take meeting minutes as needed.
  • Compile data, prepare and submit operational reports.

Investigations Branch Support

  • Prepare, review, edit and compose correspondence, internal and external memorandums, meeting minutes, emails and other communications in support of the Investigations Branch.
  • Order supplies for the office, law enforcement equipment and investigations materials. Monitor supply levels and organize/maintain supplies. Ship supplies to Special Agents assigned throughout the region.
  • Utilize a host of different IT systems to review, analyze and retrieve information in support of investigations.
  • Track and execute branch-level Correspondence Analysis Task Tracker (CATT) system actions.
  • Maintain confidentiality of information.

Additional Duties And Responsibilities

Front Office Support

  • Run reports compile data and conduct analyses of threat, criminal cases and other operational information stored in the Law Enforcement Information Management System (LEIMS).
  • Maintain confidentiality of information.

District Office Support

  • Track, compile, report and maintain records for operational requirements:
  • Prohibited items
  • Post Visits and Post Inspections
  • Vehicle Operation Report and related records
  • LEIMS Incident Reports

PSO Program Support

  • Coordinate work activities and provide support to the regional CORs, PSOO and other Task Managers.
  • Assist with the determination of service requirements from federal customers (new requirements, changes to existing services, etc.).
  • Other duties commensurate with the position, as assigned.

General Office & Security Operations Branch Support

  • Assist with daily updates of the region’s Post Operational Tracker.
  • Assist with Facility Security Assessment (FSA) reviews. Keep track of FSAs and prepare the reports for presentation.
  • Technical Countermeasure (TCM) Program support:
  • Enter updates in MIST.
  • Track and provide status of functionality tests and TCM inventory.
  • Coordinate disposal of e-waste.

Receive And Reception Functions

  • Take calls, record and relay messages.
  • Maintain general office files.
  • Escort visitors, as needed.

Security clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain public trust from DHS

Work Location: On-site

Workdays: Monday – Friday

Work hours: Core hours: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm

Requirements

Education and experience:

  • High School Diploma/Technical Training and 2 years administrative experience
  • Associate’s Degree and 2-3 years’ experience, preferred
