Team / division overview
The COO division is central to DWS and contributes significantly to the future success of the company by delivering best-in-class services in several key functions. It covers essential technological and operational capabilities, including our data programs and digital transformation. The COO's goal is to deliver an efficient, scalable, resilient and flexible platform. As COO Office, we are focusing on the overarching strategic direction for the COO division across all functions and take responsibility for the coordination of key projects in cooperation with the COO Leadership Team.
Role Details
As a Technology Analyst, you will be responsible for:
Engineer is responsible for managing or performing work across multiple areas of the bank's overall IT Platform/Infrastructure including analysis, development, and administration. It may also involve taking functional oversight of engineering delivery for specific departments. Work includes:
- Planning and developing entire engineering solutions to accomplish business goals
- Building reliability and resiliency into solutions with appropriate testing and reviewing throughout the delivery lifecycle
- Ensuring maintainability and reusability of engineering solutions
- Ensuring solutions are well architected and can be integrated successfully into the end-to-end business process flow
- Reviewing engineering plans and quality to drive re-use and improve engineering capability
- Participating in industry forums to drive adoption of innovative technologies, tools and solutions in the Bank
- Ensure daily availability of the business applications and technology infrastructure platform for DWS Taiwan asset management business by providing user support and maintaining the platform's stability.
- Act as a main contact for the external application service providers for troubleshooting, coordination for application upgrades, DR tests and service delivery management.
- Analyze business requirements to implement application modifications and coordinate the necessary changes with the vendor. Deploy the vendor’s application changes and releases in the servers internally hosted.
- As an IT Application Owner of DWS Taiwan local applications, responsible to ensure the applications are compliance to internal control and governance requirements.
- Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements, including direct interactions and thorough documentation in Mandarin and/or English.
- Basic knowledge and experiences on Microsoft SQL, including use of Microsoft SQL Server management studio and T-SQL
- General IT knowledge in Windows desktop, network and database environment with familiarity with information security requirements and IT processes such as SDLC.
- 5 years+ experience in global financial institution(s) in business application support, design, development or similar role. Experience and knowledge in asset management business is an advantage
- Knowledge on IT governance and control. Having knowledge and experience with Taiwan local regulatory requirements would be a significant advantage, especially with local Security Investment Trust personnel registration qualification.
- Experience in building and maintaining vendor relationships
- Strong analytical skills for problem solving and efficient support
- Customer-focused mindset with good interpersonal communication skills and teamwork The role involves coordination with various internal/external, regional, and global technology teams, requiring strong communication skills.
- Independent self-starter who enjoys new challenges and expanding knowledge in both technology and business
- Project management experiences are preferred
- Fluent in both English and Mandarin.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other relevant major.
