Indexed description

InnovestX is looking for a Technology Portfolio Operations Lead to strengthen the operating cadence of the Technology BU (Business Unit). This role helps ensure that initiatives, budgets, KPIs, risks, decisions, and governance commitments are visible, structured, and followed through with discipline.

You will be part of the Technology Security and Governance team and work closely with the CTO and senior technology leaders across the Technology BU. You will support the senior technology leadership forum by preparing portfolio visibility, decision logs, action trackers, escalation items, and performance review inputs.

This is an individual contributor role built for someone who thinks structurally, communicates concisely, follows through with discipline, and uses AI as a practical force multiplier. You will design AI-enabled workflows, reusable prompts, skills, and lightweight agents that reduce recurring manual effort across portfolio, performance, and governance activities.

Why This Role

You will play a central role in strengthening how Technology priorities are made visible, structured, followed through, and executed at InnovestX. You will see how a securities and digital asset trading platform runs from the inside, work closely with the CTO and senior technology leaders, and have the runway to shape how AI changes the way technology organizations operate.

What You Will Do:

Portfolio and Budget Operations

  • Track and maintain the Technology BU initiative portfolio
  • Coordinate procurement workflows and ensure timely visibility of purchase requests, contract status, approval bottlenecks, and budget impact
  • Monitor budget consumption, vendor contracts, and CAPEX and OPEX commitments
  • Prepare portfolio and budget dashboards for CTO review
  • Flag risks, overruns, and dependencies before they become problems

Performance Tracking

  • Run BU-level performance cadence — tracking KPIs and OKRs against targets, surfacing trends, and preparing reviews for executive forums
  • Maintain BU performance dashboards as the integrated decision-ready view for Technology BU outcomes
  • Synthesize performance signals into decision-ready insights for the CTO and senior technology leaders

Execution and Coordination

  • Facilitate and maintain visibility of follow-through on Technology BU strategic initiatives
  • Support coordination of cross-BU initiatives with Business, Product, Risk, Compliance, and Finance teams
  • Track action items, decisions, and outcomes — surface blockers and escalate as required

Structural Thinking and Planning

  • Break down complex problems into MECE structures for executive decision-making
  • Prepare briefing materials, talking points, and decision memos for senior stakeholders
  • Synthesise inputs from senior technology leaders into clear, decision-ready outputs for the CTO and senior leadership review

Technology Governance Support

  • Use AI tools to accelerate the preparation of governance documentation, policy drafts, audit preparation materials, and compliance-related inputs for the Technology Security and Governance team
  • Track remediation timelines and governance action items across the Technology BU — ensuring visibility without duplicating first line of defence responsibilities
  • Identify opportunities to automate or streamline recurring governance workflows using AI agents and tools

AI-Powered Execution

  • Design and deploy practical AI-enabled workflows, reusable prompts, skills, or lightweight agents that reduce recurring manual effort.
  • Continuously raise the bar on how the Technology BU operates with AI

What You Bring

Required

  • Track record of driving cross-functional initiatives to completion without direct authority
  • Demonstrable structural thinking — Pyramid Principle, MECE, executive-grade communication
  • Working knowledge of how technology organizations operate, including software delivery, cloud, and infrastructure basics
  • Proven AI fluency — experience building practical AI workflows, reusable prompts, skills, or lightweight agents that others can actually use
  • Good command of English

Preferred

  • Experience in financial services, securities trading, or fintech
  • Familiarity with portfolio and budget tracking at scale
  • Background in programmed management, technology operations, or management consulting
