Key Responsibilities
- Support the rheumatology pharmacist with day-to-day administrative and operational needs.
- Obtain insurance authorizations and pre-certifications for multidisciplinary rheumatology patients in a timely manner
- Communicate with patients, providers, and insurance companies to facilitate approvals and continuity of care
- Analyze and evaluate office workflows and operating practices; recommend and implement improvements to enhance efficiency
- Coordinate, collect, and prepare reports related to pharmacy operations, patient care activities, and other administrative functions
- Assist with coordination of office resources
- Monitor and track budget-related activities, including expenses and reporting
- Provide administrative and secretarial support on confidential and complex matters
- Serve as backup support for other administrative and secretarial roles as needed
- May provide guidance or direction to support staff as needed
